FAQFAQs

Before you do business with any company, you want to know more about them.  We have compiled a list of frequently asked questions with answers to help you better understand the services we provide.

Who is your ideal client?

Our ideal client is a residential user, home office, or small business/organization with one to fifteen computers and within a 45-mile radius of Princeton, Indiana.

Do you perform on-site service?

We provide both in-shop and on-site service.  For most computer problems, we prefer to service the computers in-shop.  The reason for this is that many of the diagnosis and servicing processes take a significant amount of time.  Rather than sitting on-site watching a program run, if the PC is in our office, we can start the process and then work on another computer.  This keeps those repair charges from getting too high.

Some computer problems require on-site service, such as network or Internet connectivity problems.  If we determine the repair is better suited for in-shop service, we will request you bring the computer to our shop or we can pick it up for a nominal fee.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check and Visa and MasterCard credit cards.

What kinds of computers do you service?

We service all major brands of Windows-based PCs.  We can also work on custom-built computer systems.  At this time, we do not service Apple or Linux computers.

What do I need to bring to your office when dropping off a computer?

Depending on the service being performed, you will need to at least bring the computer (and power cord, if it's a laptop) and the original recovery CDs that came with your computer.  We will not need any power cables, keyboard, mice or monitors unless you are specifically having problems with those devices.

How long does a service call usually take?

It can vary by job.  However, we typically provide a two business day turnaround time for in-shop service repairs, unless we need to order parts.  We do offer our Priority Express Service for an additional fee.

Do you offer phone support?

Generally we do not offer phone support.  However, if you need assistance or clarification within a week of our service visit, we will be happy to help you over the phone.  This only applies to the issue that we helped you with on the service visit.

Do you sell used computers or parts?

No, we only sell new computers and parts.

What if my computer needs to have the Windows operating system reinstalled?  What do I need to know and what steps can I take to prepare for this?

In some cases, a complete erasure of the hard drive and reinstallation of the Windows operating system may be required (such as a serious virus infection).  Please gather all of the CDs or installation disks that came with your computer.  You will also want to make a list of where important data files are stored so that we can perform a data backup for you.
